🧠 Psychologie virtuálních světů
The goal of this research aim is to investigate the psychological implications of virtual environments on human cognition, emotion, and behavior. This includes a deep dive into how virtual experiences shape memory formation and recall compared to real-life events, as well as the emotional responses elicited by virtual stimuli. Additionally, we aim to explore the personality traits and motivations associated with video game players and users of virtual spaces. Another key area of focus is the perceptual changes and adaptations that occur within virtual environments, particularly concerning spatial perception. Overall, this research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of human psychology in the context of virtual reality and other emerging technologies.

Témata:
Our research group explores the evolutionary adaptations that shape human communication in different contexts and with various partners. We examine how factors such as attachment style, early life adversity, relationship stage, jealousy, and dominance influence communication and how these dynamics shift in online environments. Methodologically, we focus on micro-level analyses, including nonverbal behavior, conflict styles, emotional expressions, and group dynamics. Additionally, we study the development of relationship and sexual preferences—ranging from mate choice to mate preferences to paraphilia—as well as the impact of mental health on relationship dynamics at the individual, couple, and family levels.
